Farewell Tour of a Terminal Optimist

Farewell Tour of a Terminal Optimist by John Young

Connor’s dying, but he’s not dead yet. With unlikely ally Skeates, he sets off on one last wild adventure — a crazy tour across Scotland dodging the police, joy riding and looking for answers. A bold debut novel full of heart, guts and raw emotion.

A great book full of surprize and excitement. The dramatic scenes add to the sense of family the boy has with his farther. The companionship I think show, even if a person is bulling you they / you can still be friends and have a good time. At the end it is rather touching as the story and the boys life could change and potentially change the ending of the story from a happy ending to a sad one. It is also is filled with exhilaration and shear enjoyment. I would advise this form 9 year olds and above.
