The extinction trials

The extinction trials by S.M. Wilson

Betrayal. Sacrifice. Survival. Welcome to The Extinction Trials…

In Stormchaser and Lincoln’s ruined world, the only way to survive is to risk everything. To face a contest more dangerous than anyone can imagine. And they will do anything to win.

But in a land full of monsters – human and reptilian – they can’t afford to trust anyone. Perhaps not even each other…

I really loved how the author involved dinosaurs in it and giving the intelligents and the characters understanding they are much more than dangerous creatures. Really look forward to read the second and third book.

The Extinction Trials is a very colourful book which really paints a picture in your mind. It is very fast pace and easy to read and understand. The map at the beginning made the book feel even more real and the way it was written helped me gain more of an understanding of each individual character.

Fast paced and really interesting. I liked the two different aspects of their world and being able to see different perspectives of characters.

The extinction trials was a fascinating book to explore and enrapture into. In a dystopian world, we meet Storm Chaser and Lincoln, who fight to win the perillious task of travelling to the land of Pillora. Although it is refered to being like the Hunger Games triology, I notice that there is neither much description of the characters appearance or their personality’s. The characters had neither depth or were relatable in relation to the characters of Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark. It was a good book though!

A really good book that brings you back in time to the terrifying yet amazing world of the dinasours. A really good book that doesn’t lose your interest

I enjoyed reading The Extinction Trials, the plot of it was intriguing and I can not wait to get to the sequel. The brutality was key to the story and was used well.

The Extinction Trials was a brilliant book that is now one of my all time favourites. It has pace and a well-thought- out storyline. The characters and dinosaurs seemed so real; I was scared one of the dinosaurs might jump out and eat me. I thought that overall it was amazing and cannot wait to find out what happens next in the 2nd and 3rd book!

The Extinction Trials was one of my favourite books I’ve ever read. I loved all the tasks the characters had to do and the storyline was (overall) just perfect. The dinosaurs throughout the book felt so real that sometimes I was scared one might jump out of the book. I can’t wait to read the 2nd and 3rd book soon!

This is such a good book, there were lots of hooks attracted me to read through the book, and the lovely description gave me a feeling of actually being there. In my own opinion, it might be even better if the author can explain all the stories fully, for example the background of Galen and storm’s mother, or else it might be a little bit confused. All in all, this is a nice book and is well worth reading.

I thought this was a fast-paced, action packed book but could have had more description to help you make the characters seem real.

Liked this very much – thought it was exciting, imaginative and thrilling – the violence added to the story. Read it in 3 days – couldn’t put it down.

Thought it was good and not too much like The Hunger Games. Thought it was exciting and page-turning. Read it in one week. Thought it would appeal to girls as well as boys and didn’t find it too violent. Would recommend to others.

I liked the idea of incorporating dinosaurs and implying their intelligence. Fast paced and definitely a page turner. I very much enjoyed it and will definitely read any sequel.
